Earth Day Celebration
In observance of Earth Day on April 22, 2025, the SIES OIOP Foundation extended an invitation to educational institutions to organize and conduct Earth Day-themed activities aligned with this year’s global theme: "Our Power, Our Planet.” The initiative focused on encouraging environmental awareness and promoting the adoption of renewable energy and sustainable practices among students.
Despite the ongoing examination season, the response was overwhelmingly positive. A total of 32 schools participated in the initiative, engaging approximately 500 students across various grades. The activities were conducted within the respective school campuses, ensuring ease of execution and wide student involvement. Schools organized diverse activities such as notebook upcycling, best-out-of-waste creations, Earth Day-themed art, and other innovative initiatives aimed at instilling environmental responsibility in young learners.
Participating schools submitted geotagged photographs of their activities either via email or through a shared drive link. These entries will be documented, and outstanding initiatives will be recognized through the SIES OIOP Foundation Environmental Awards.
The Foundation appreciates the enthusiastic participation of all schools and remains committed to nurturing environmentally conscious and responsible citizens through such collaborative efforts.
